Hue City, Vietnam 1:12,500 Topographical Map

$79

Hue, the imperial capital of Vietnam from 1802-1945, was the location of one of the longest and bloodiest battles of the Vietnam War. The heart of Hue is the "citadel," a walled city surrounded by a moat. The North Vietnamese/Vietcong initially captured the city at the outset of the Tet Offensive in early 1968, but were gradually pushed out of the city by the US Army and Marines along with South Vietnamese units. The Battle of Hue was known as one of the few engagements that was in an urban setting with house to house fighting.
