German map showing the movements of 26 and 27 August 1813 at the Battle of Dresden. Even though the French and Napoleon were outnumbered roughly 135,000 to 214,000, Napoleon scored a brilliant victory over Austrian General von Schwarzenburg and Russian Tsar Alexander I.
